Offline drafting & sync

Parish wifi and mobile data are not always reliable. Sacrament Registry is designed so sacramental record management can continue in the sacristy or at a desk, then sync safely when the network is stable again.

When you are offline

While offline, you can usually keep entering and saving draft register entries locally. The app stores them securely on the device and shows a clear offline indicator so you know responses are not yet confirmed by the server.

When connectivity returns, queued submissions are sent automatically in the background. If something fails temporarily, you will see a prompt to retry once you are back online.

If the server already has a similar entry

In rare cases—often after a retry or when two devices edited the same record—a conflict screen may ask you to choose between the version on the server and your local draft. Pick the option that matches the parish books and your diocesan policy; your parish administrator can help if you are unsure.

Session and sign-in

If your sign-in expires while drafts are waiting to sync, the app will ask you to sign in again before continuing. That protects sacramental data while still letting you finish the sync safely.
